Why did she accept the role in Grey's Anatomy?

She's a big enough actress to settle for at least a supporting role.

I'm surprised some of these actors on Grey's don't get agents who can get them an recurring role. She's a little more famous than a guest star status.

She's too busy making films, a supporting role is too much of a commitment probably, with little benefit. (acting experience and money wise)
