Katie was the only good thing about the new A Nightmare On Elm Street - I mean, the lead actress was absolutely horrible. As soon as Katie's character was killed, there really was no reason to keep watching.
She's sexy and she's talented, she needs to get a new agent that will get her better movies - though I do admit I enjoyed Black Christmas for what it was and Katie was very good on Harper's Island and Melrose Place.

she was in the movie for a good 20 minutes. and when she died, everyone in the theater was so upset...some girl even yelled out "awwww, i liked her!"...keep in mind that i was at a movie theater in North Philly. so when some ghetto chick is yelling out that her favorite was the blondie, you know Katie did an awesome job.

OP, I totally agree, well partially because I thought everyone was good except for Nancy and her mom (horrible). Katie was really good (I would have preferred her as the lead, but Nancy is suppose to be a brunette right?)
shareI don't think Rooney was BAD but I definitely don't think she brought anything special to Nancy. Heather Langenkamp has no cause for concern... Nancy will always belong to her.
The problem was, it seemed everyone aside from Katie was half-awake. Sure, that could be method considering the point is a lack of sleep but in every scene even before we begin with the nightmares everyone was a zombie... I was close to dozing myself.
Even though we all knew Katie was going to die, it was still a bummer when it happened.
If you are talking about acting wize she wasn't even close to being the best thing about the movie. Jackie completly stoled the movie and Kyle Gallner was by far the best actor out of the teens even though Rooney is good she just didn't have much good to work with. If your talking about looks wize that's a different story lol.
