I'm calling it...he's gonna be huge!

I've recently started watching Doctor Who only because I caught some previews on BBC America. Anyway I saw it and loved it, and now I've been streaming the seasons with him in it (I'm now on season 6) on Netflix. I'm pretty much hooked lol. I've watched a few episodes with the other doctors (I watched a few episodes from the the 9th and 10th doctor as well...my fave companion is Martha even though I see that she wasn't that popular).

In terms of the 11th doctor, I know the show is gaining popularity in the US...but I just thought I would call it and say this guy is gonna get huge here. Alot of my friends already know who he is. He's such a great actor and can convey so much emotion with the smallest of gestures.

Nah, I don't see him becoming huge outside of the Whoverse. For example, Benedict Cumberbatch has barely broken ground here in the States, and he has been in some very high profile films.

Matt plays a fine Doctor, and I wish him luck in post-Who pursuits, but he should really ride the Who train as long as he can if he wants fame!

To be fair, I reckon Cumberbatch is going to break through properly this year, he' the villain in two action movies (admittedly one we don't see him) and he has two other films (one on Julian Assgue and the other based on a play with Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts).
All Matt would theoretically is to have several films (of ranging size) come out in the same year, like Jessica Chaistain. Or have a high profile villain like Tom Hiddleston.

I would really like to see him play something other than the doctor. I know he's gonna be in the Ryan Gosling film, which is a huge deal. I do hope he's a success...he's in a position (depending on how he plays it) that this could be a pretty big jumping off point for him. So I just hope that he is big here...obviously because I think he's a good actor and he's insanely sexy in an odd way lol.

Watch Christopher and His Kind, he's very good in it (and damn sexy at that) or Ruby in the Smoke/ Shadow of the North-it also stars Billie Piper (Rose Tyler), It was the first thing I saw him in way before Who and I thought he was brilliant I was confused why Billie's character didn't end up with him, in my mind he was better looking and had better character

Or...yeah, I'm gonna recommend it...watch Womb. He's definitely not the Doctor in that. It's a pretty screwed up movie concept wise tho.

I actually didn't find him all that attractive (altho I still found the Doctor attractive) until I saw his hair in Womb.

I'm looking forward to How to Catch a Monster but his hair cut for that? No. Just. No.

Can't recommend what I haven't seen. I have attempted it twice, but maybe midnight isn't the right time to start that film.

Haircut for a role I can respect. But I really don't like it, it makes him look a bit thuggish which most likely suits the role. It'll grow back, hopefully.

I wasn't aware when I posted before but he didn't just get a hair cut. He shaved his head.

Yeah, Womb was....an interesting concept. The acting was wonderful, tho, and people say the cinematography was beautiful but I don't pay attention to stuff like that. I'm more into characters and motivations.
