At least we saw a little glimpse of this when we saw Matt Smith portray the face of Skynett and the future terminator who assimilated John Conner. I thought he did well. But it got me to thinking. ..how would the Ol Doctor handle a terminator? I guess compared to a dalek it wouldn't be much of a challenge.

There was also "Genesis of the Daleks" (1975) in which the Doctor and the heroes are the ones who go back in time and have a chance to destroy the Daleks early in their existence before they become a destructive superpower; sort of the opposite of the Terminator storylines. Eventually the Doctor decides against doing it, because he realizes that the Daleks have a right to exist just like anyone else. Killing them would mean wiping out an entire intelligent species, and that wouldn't make him any better than them.
Firstly, I thought Matt Smith did an awesome job as Skynet, I couldn't contain my squeal when I saw him come on screen, neither could my friend... I only briefly wondered if they could have had him on set why he wasn't John Connor, but as the story progressed I thought he's actually really compelling as Skynet. The cool blue of his eyes really works with the hologram projection lights.
Secondly, it took me a while to warm up to him as The Doctor, but after I did, I quite liked him. But Tennant is the hottest, and I'm loving the heck out of the new 12th Doctor at the moment. "There's a movie called Aliens? That's really offensive! No wonder you keep getting invaded." cracks me up. XD
Finally, combat wise, I think Matt Smith as The Doctor would not be the ideal form to take up any physical clash against a Terminator, perhaps if he reasoned or negotiated with them, he might gain the upper hand and win. But other Doctors had far more brutality or brunt, and some were down right sinister and would trick the Terminator. Matt Smith was sort of the more sensitive do-gooder of the reincarnations. More emotionally strong than physically... more than likely he would just get rescued by a version of Clara... OMG! Clara (Jenna Coleman) as a TX Terminator would be awesome!
Terminators are basically inverted Cybermen
Cybermen, squishy bits on the inside, robotic shell on the outside
Terminator, hard robot center on the inside, organic sheath on the outside
Granted, their goals are different, with Cybermen wanting to assimilate everyone and Terminators just wanting to kill (or protect) whoever they're programmed to.
