What on Earth is he gonna do in Terminator? Is this why he left Doctor Who?

He left doctor who because he felt it was time to move on.
This. Actors always want to expand their profession by taking on different roles and challenges. It's a great professional move for Matt. However, I thought he could have stayed 1 more series as the Doctor as I still think he still have a lot to give to the role although I guess he felt there's not much he could give.
