Appearing in 'American Psycho' in London

Looked online and tickets have appeared to have sold out for all dates and I can't get through on the phone. There were tickets available for this mornings announcement so I'm so annoyed with myself for not getting tickets when I was there last week buying tickets for Ghosts!

Has anyone got tickets?

reply

I got my tickets for this the day that they came out. Had no idea of the cast but I love Rupert Goold's directing and I love Headlong as a company! Must say I do feel a little bit smug now that the cast has been announced.
Made the right decision indeed.

Perhaps keep an eye on eBay for resales?

reply

Yeah, will do...or more likely queue up for hours on the day for returns.

Must have tried to call about 20 times today...oh well, lesson learned.

It basically sold out when they announced him, that does say something though doesn't it? Matt Smith can sell a show based on his name alone.

I must admit from what I've heard of his voice I never saw him doing a musical. But I've only really heard him when he was with Karen and Arthur and on Top gear so I don't know.

Anyway I hope he does well, and there's a cast recording.

Since I can't be there for it, I'll need a cast recording. And/or a video recording of the show. I'm not picky if it's legally or illegally.

I always figured he could sing from the snippets we've heard (and also because I'm convinced there is nothing creative he can't do well).

What do we want?
Time travel!
When do we want it?
It's irrelevant!

As a musical nut who lives kind of in the middle of no-where threatre wise, I've often relied off bootleg recordings of shows. However I've struggled to ever find any from London. Which may be a problem in finding one from this production, however considering Matt's popularity and that the composer is the writer of one of the most popular musicals in the last ten years (Spring Awakening) I think there should be a good chance of;
A. Someone recording it
B. It transferring to the West End and perhaps Broadway (in which case a Bootleg would most likely happen)

Off Matt I was looking at the rest of the cast and saw Jonathan Bailey, who was most recently in Broadchurch (he was Coleman's nephew). Who seems to be an up and coming actor for a while, so that seems quite good as well.
