I hope she makes more guest appearances on Mad Men...

She had incredible chemistry with Jon Hamm on Mad Men where she played a budding feminist who helped run her father's department store. I really wish they had added her to the main cast. She's just as amazing an actress as Elizabeth Moss (Peggy) and Christina Hendricks (Joan) and far superior to the likes of January Jones (Betty). What does everyone else think?

Ms. Siff was so incredible in the part of Rachel on Mad Men in season one of the show. And, yes, her chemistry with Jon Hamm was amazingly sexy. She really should've been a major part of season 2 of Mad Men. But Mad Men's loss is Sons of Anarchy's gain! She and Charlie Hunnam also light up the screen!

I miss Maggie Siff on Mad Men. I really hope she makes a few cameos throughout the series’ run. I loved the Don/Rachel relationship. Siff’s chemistry with Jon Hamm was uncanny, and Maggie was, bar none, the best actress on the show.

Maggie Siff was part of the main cast during the first season, whereas John Slattery and others were listed as Guest stars. That’s why she’s listed as part of the Ensemble Cast category for the Emmy’s. I don’t know why she is no longer part of the cast this season. Maybe her storyline ran its course (which I don’t think it has, “New Girl” and “Six Month Leave” is proof of that) or maybe MM wasn’t renewed for S2 before she got her gig on SoA.

Either way, I really miss her on the show. It would be interesting to see Don’s interaction with her, as Matt Weiner and Jon Hamm have insinuated that Don was in love with Rachel and that they’re soul mates.

From a Jon Hamm interview after Season 2 wrapped up filming:

What’s going to happen with Rachel Menken and Draper?
Well, we just saw Rachel make another appearance this season, so I don’t know. It’s interesting because there are two levels: I love Maggie Siff as an actress and she’s a wonderful person, but she has her own career. She’s in a show that’s coming out called Sons of Anarchy so we unfortunately have lost our exclusive lease on her, but she will hopefully be coming back. It’s New York City. You run into the same people again and again.

Do you think they’re soul mates?
I do, in a weird way. I think that Don recognizes that and wishes he had it, and true to the overriding theme of our show, he misses out on it and is sad.

Hey Movie Savant! I read an interview with Matt Weiner, Mad Men's creator, that he wrote off the Rachel Menken character for storyline purposes.

It may be difficult with Sons of Anarchy picked up for a second season for Ms. Siff to pop up on Mad Men. But it's good knowing she may be Don's "one that got away."

From the shallow end of the pool....Ms. Maggie went from onscreen canoodling with Jon Hamm to onscreen canoodling with Charlie Hunnam. How lucky can one gorgeous, talented actress be?! *smile*
