I agree. She would have been perfect as Belle. She can sing too.

I agree Emma is a boring choice, but the movie is a live action adaption of the Disney version, so Gugu wouldn't have been considered to play Belle.

I was thinking the same thing. Gugu is much more beautiful than Emma, and I think she would have been a better choice for Belle. Not to mention, Gugu knows how to sing!

If Hollywood thought outside the box more, maybe Gugu would've been Belle. Oh well...I don't mind Emma playing Belle, but Gugu surpasses Emma Watson in many ways.

You're all being unfair here O.o Gugu is stunningly gorgeous, but so is Emma Watson, both in a different way. I believe that Emma is by far the best casting choice for Belle, and it really is mean that you just call her boring and underrate her beauty, because as I said she really is beatiful.
If calling her boring and ugly makes you feel better then do so, but think that she is pretty, can sing, and is way more real and down on Earth than the whole hollywood actresses of her age. I think we all should be excited because she is being part of a movie with Gugu, and just accept her because just like Gugu, Emma is as well a really kind a beautiful person, as well as a strong and independent woman (:
