Anyone have any updates on whether Mia's in this or not?...still no character name given for her role,assuming she's still on board.
shareI've heard nothing. I don't know if the character's name not being listed means much - it never has been listed, for whatever reason, even with the first announcement that Mia was in the cast. We'll probably hear more about this movie in a couple of months - hopefully, Mia has stayed on-board - that is, if the production is a good one.
shareI'm starting to have my doubts..she does seem to be taking (a well earned) break at the moment..maybe she's gearing up for all the promotion and travelling that'll come along with the next Alice movie in a few weeks (which i'm sure she would rather do without).

The absence of a character name isn't suspicious, but the absence of a description of the role certainly is. The current cast list for HHhH includes many unnamed characters, such as "Husband of Deported Couple," "Hospital staff member," and "SS Officer." It's hard to resist the conclusion that a blank space next to an actor's name after all this time means there is no longer any role there. If she were still playing a Czech resistance fighter, it could say, "Czech resistance fighter," right?
If you look at the filmography for 5-10 of Mia's peers, you'll see lots of films currently in production or scheduled to begin production in 2016 and 2017. If HHhH is out, Mia has nothing at all. That can't be good, considering that she apparently hasn't done any acting work since 2014. And even if she's still in HHhH, she has nothing announced from now going forward, because HHhH supposedly has wrapped and is in post-production.
Well, Carey Mulligan doesn't have anything scheduled after "Suffragette", which came out last fall. Mia's obviously taking time off, too, which is what she said she was going to do after filming "Alice Through The Looking Glass". She had stated that if you don't take a break you just exhaust yourself - she's been extremely active since 2010, and in very demanding roles, not just Hollywood formula stuff. I'm sure when she comes out to promote "Alice" in a couple of months she'll be asked specifics re her future plans. I want to see more of her movies, as many as possible, but she is made of flesh and blood - she needs to rest and re-charge - I just hope she wants to return.

What are you looking forward to?
“Time off, actually! When I was younger, it was more about getting to the next project really quickly, and now I value the simpler things a lot more. Just being at home and having a cup of tea in the morning is, like, my favorite thing. I don’t feel such an urgency to be achieving or doing things—which is good because otherwise you just end up exhausting yourself.”
Do you have a plan?
“I just want to be happy and have a good life. [Laughs] I don’t really have a plan.”
Yeah,reading between the lines in her interviews (so to speak) she does seem to be taking a back seat at the moment..her output over the last 2 or 3 years has been phenomenal and if I were in her shoes - what with a new home etc - i'd probably be doing the same thing and taking some time out.
Hopefully once the "Alice stuff" is out of the way she'll have a clearer picture of what she wants to do..she obviously prefers quality to quantity but if the quality isn't there then we as fans are left with a bit of a bare cupboard as far as her future work is considered.
I hope there'll be a lot more from her pretty soon as i'm wearing out my dvd collection.
A lot of her peers don't have a franchise like Alice on their resumes. They take indies to keep busy but you can't fault Mia for not wanting to do that. She seems to march to the beat of her own drummer and isn't concerned about constantly having a project in theaters.
Carey Mulligan recently gave an interview where she said she only wanted to do one film a year, and only if she read the script and couldn't bear to see anyone else in the role. Maybe Mia is like that. Choosy.
She has an excellent reputation with directors, is well thought of within the industry, so I don't think you have anything to worry about. She's still young, she has plenty of time to make more films.

I was wondering about this for months and found this. She briefly mentions at the end of the interview. So I guess she's in...? I still think it's VERY weird that she is the only person to not have a character name. And the way she describes it (she basically reveals nothing lol) makes me think that maybe she has a tiny role. I guess we will have to wait and see. I personally hope she's in the film. After Alice sequel flopping so hard (part of me is sad because she needs&deserves some box-office hit in her career, but part of me is glad that she will no longer be tied to this) I hope to see her soon in another film.

It may be that her character is never given a name in the film - I've seen that from time to time (think of Terence Malik movies). This seems to be an ensemble film and I wouldn't expect her screen time to last super long, although that doesn't mean it won't be memorable. I wonder if she uses a czech accent.
