One of the strengths of the MCU films has been that each director has created a film vastly different from the other entries in the franchise, and it sounds like the Eternals film may stretch that to the limit. I'm curious to see what she's come up with. If you're going to shoot for arthouse superhero cinema, the Eternals is the place to do it: cosmic scope, heroes no one has ever heard of, released with low box office expectations due to a global pandemic.
