What people are missing is that out of all these new football fans brought in by the Swifties is that, yes, a number of them will tune out at some point, but there are still going to be a lot of them that remain.
THAT is how commercialism works in capitalism - gather the largest amount of potential new customers and try to keep them and the NFL is doing just that and among those fans, many are going to learn to enjoy professional football.
It almost makes me wonder if the NFL had a pretty good idea of broadcasting the most recent Chief's game on Peacock knowing it was going to break all streaming records and be hugely profitable.
