Wow...I don't know whether I've ever disagreed with a post more than yours.
I'm pretty sure most viewers know the people they watch on TV are playing a part. If you're over the age of five, I'm pretty sure you realize you're not watching real life unfold on TV.
How ridiculous!
I'm sorry but the kid is an awful, uncoordinated actor who really does bring the show down. I actually think the character is OK, but the actor is awful. Every time I watch this kid, I roll my eyes because he doesn't fit the part at all.
Like somebody previously posted, he runs like a girl. I suppose that's a sexist comment; however, I understand his/her point. That run...and walk...is goofy as hell. There is no way anybody can believe a kid as uncoordinated as that could be a bad @$$.
Again, character good, actor bad. There are a lot of actors who could've easily pulled that part off. Unfortunately, Shameless casted one of the few kids who would grow up to be awful at selling Carl's character.
The writers should have adapted to the actors limited abilities instead of trying to give him a story he couldn't pull off.
Oh well...I usually look at my phone or do something else when his parts come on. It's a struggle to watch such a miscast.
But hey...good for that kid. I'm sure he's ecstatic about having that gig. I just wish he'd work harder at his craft. It's no wonder that he really hasn't been in anything else--and prob won't be.
