I haven't used facebook since 2013..

That was the year I moved onto instagram like most of my peer age group. Facebook fell off in popularity quite markedly with young people who were once the ''biggest users''. This site morphed into a senior citizen interactive site to talk about politics and see pictures of ''the grand kids''. Now we have baby boomers in their 60's still refusing their covid shot because a facebook group said it caused ''Cancer''. An absolute laugh. Mark, just change the name to ''Retirement home book'' already!

I guess Ice Cube and Kyrie Irving are also senior citizen boomers?

reply

Ice cube is 50 something.

reply

What’s that about 5x your age?

I use Facebook and I'm in my early 40s. I see lots of people on Facebook who are younger than me, including teens and people in their 20s.

reply

I don’t use Facebook because I don’t give a shit about what you had for lunch and where you went on your last vacation.

I used it when it was all the rage back in 2009. It didn't take me long to realize how stupid it really was. After a couple weeks I was thinking, "This is it? This is what people have been taking about?"
It's just people bragging about their life. "Look at me, look at me." "I have a thousand fake friends, look." Yawn 🥱

reply

Wow, instagram. Groovy. You know you’re still using a facebook (nka Meta) product? Misinformation infects every corner of the internet.

I've never used Fakebook, save to briefly visit a few other people's pages without logging in. I knew something was wrong with it back in the mid-2000s when it came online, and I was right to stay away, after seeing the crap they've been pulling for 16 years. Same goes for Twatter.
