The perfect Finnick (Catching Fire spoilers)

Finnick expresses so many emotions throughout Catching Fire. He starts off being seductive, condescending and cocky, but as the story evolves and the victor-tributes enter the arena, we see his true colors as he becomes devastated by Mags' death and traumatized after hearing Annie's screams (coming from the jabberjays).

He was also awesome in the hovercraft in the end. The first time I watched the film I was focusing on Jennifer Lawrence during that scene, but the second time I made sure to keep a close eye on Sam. He was so sympathetic towards Katniss's pain because Annie had been taken captive along with Peeta. You can see him physically reacting as the dialogue builds up to her finding out that Peeta was captured, because he knows how devastated she is going to be. I think it's great that his pain mirrored hers because this becomes somewhat of a theme for their friendship in Mockingjay.

I think Sam perfectly portrayed all of Finnick's emotions. Finnick is one of my favorite characters in the books so I was afraid they would get an actor who would screw him up in the film, but I just loved Sam. Can't wait to see him in Mockingjay :)

(I posted the same thing on the Catching Fire page, but wanted to include it over here on Sam's page as well ;))
