Layman's terms..

OK, even though the question asked for her to describe the dynamics of the Russian Ukrainian war for people in layman's terms, her answer reminded me of when I got called on in class when I didn't read an assignment:

“So, Ukraine is a country in Europe. It exists next to another country called Russia. Russia is a bigger country. Russia is a powerful country. Russia decided to invade a smaller country called Ukraine. So, basically, that’s wrong, and it goes against everything that we stand for.”

It might have worked better with hand puppets.

Remember the Rodney Dangerfield movie Back to School? His professor asked him about the book The Great Gatsby he was supposed to read, and he said (paraphrasing). "The Great Gatsby. He was..... GREAT!".
