Great film, but one slight problem.

This is really the slightest problem in this movie...
There cannot be something like redemption without begging for it, and suffering a lot, but here the forgiveness is instantly, so it has no cost and no value.
Not to mention the picture isn't by all means a masterpiece graphically ! Battleship Potemkine is, Waxworks is. Murnau isn't such a photographic genius, sorry.
