Opening Montage and docking scenes not Murnau?
....It always seemed to me that the first few minutes of "Sunrise" were added by others. There's a "glossiness" in the scene of the ferry reaching the shore of the town that somehow doesn't match the rest of the film, which has an un-Hollywood austerity. Also, you'd think that Margaret Livingston's city woman would have been introduced here among the vacationers. The opening montage? Nothing particularly special about it, especially compared with the ones used in the moonlit scene in the marsh.
