Rudolph Valentino as Dracula instead


I was reading an article that suggested that Rudolph Valentino would've been very interesting if he had played Count Dracula instead:

"Valentino also would have made one heck of a Dracula. Had he lived to make it, it would have had to be a real pre-code Dracula, to boot. I state this with my apologies to Bela Lugosi fans (and I Love Lugosi). Valentino would have taken the whole “dangerous sex” thing to a new level with a part like that."

And after seeing 2 of his films (The Sheik & The Son of Sheik), I see what she means. Lugosi is very dangerously exotic and eerie but he isn't really dangerously sexual nor sensual like Valentino was. And he was a tad too old too while Valentino would've been about 36 at the time.
