Why do so many people fawn over this?no big deal.
The scene where the tailor is measuring them and is making obviously sexual comments towrds cagney seems more shocking for that time,or the scene where cagney gets date-raped.

It is strange that this scene is the most famous and memorable one in the movie yet Mae Clark didn't get included in the credits.

The thing that I find funny about that scene is that a guy who was maybe 5'7'' at the most, had an inseam of thirty something inches. I believe he said thirty two inches.

She really knew, that they planned stamp the fruit on his face ?
Or maybe Wellman hid this fact...she appears to be very upset, certainly.
If it's true, I think it's a scoundrel scene, and gives me pity for her.
