Stymie was a much better character than Buckwheat.

Stymie had a depth that Buckwheat's character didn't dare try to traverse. A true game-changer.

Stymie was better at delivering his lines too. Seemed more of a natural.

Agree. I've always thought Buckwheat a bit cringe worthy, but at least was always gratified that both Buckwheat and Stymie were treated as equal to the rest of the gang.
