Random Thoughts

- I love Ann Miller in this movie! I was amazed to learn that she was only 15 when she filmed it. Even though her character doesn't have a ton of dialogue, she really imbues her with a personality. Her facial expressions throughout give off the vibe of this woman who lives in her little bubble of dancing and isn't bothered by much else.

- Interesting that Ann Miller and Jean Arthur are playing two adult sisters, when at 38 Jean could have easily played Ann's mother. I'm guessing Ann is meant to be about a decade older while Jean is meant to be a decade younger than their actual ages.

- Jimmy Stewart is a crappy boyfriend to purposely bring his parents over on the wrong night. I don't care that his reason is for them to see Jean's family as they really are, that's just WRONG. Any girl, even one with a normal family, is going to want to have them and the house at their best when they meet the boyfriend's parents. Epic Fail on his part.
