Truly an amazing movie with great dialogs that mix poetry with insults yet always sounding polite..

One among the several funny scenes - "people who like to smoke candies and listen to cigarates would like it" (as said by an abashed Mr.Kralik, after Ms. Novak sells the box to the lady as a candy box .. L0L !!!)

A true classic that still hold up. Has great romance, witty dialogue, plot twists (infidelity, opportunism, etc)

Thank goodness for TCM, it's a regular in their rotations.

I particularly liked when Pirovitch tells Jimmy Stewart that if he does not like Klara Novak, he won't like his yet-unseen pen pal (because they are the same person).

It starts to get good after about 20 minutes.
