Shop around the corner

What is the name of the movie that predates this plotwise? It was 1934ish, made by someone from eastern europe and has several scene-for-scene shared traits with this version of the movie. TCM played all three in sequence at some point over the summer/winter breaks from school and I'm incredibly frustrated.

To the OP. There can be no connection to a 1934 film. Because as the last person said this is a film of a play that was not written until 1937.
