I heard the other day that the MOMA has an original nitrate copy of Casablanca. They nearly never let it out. It was shown once about six years ago, but otherwise it stays in cold storage. Somehow, someway I want to see that copy, or another in similarly great condition, projected by an arc carbon projector (which wasn't used at the recent showing) to truly see what Casablanca was meant to look like.

I'ver heard time and time again that original nitrate films look significantly better than the facsimiles we're used to seeing, either on 35mm, digital, etc.

I may have to orchestrate an Ocean's 11 level heist to pull this off, but somehow I need to make this happen. Who's with me?

maybe your "informant" who obviously works at MOMA can help organize the inside job = )

Sounds like one of the best reasons to commit a crime that I've ever heard.

Might not need to boost it, though; you could network and hobnob, work your way up through connections at MOMA until you have the social connection to make it happen. Go full Machiavelli.
