I got a kick out of seeing Martin Milner (Officer Pete Malloy on 'Adam-12') playing the part of John Day in this movie. Martin must have been around 12 or 13 when 'Life With Father' was filmed.

According to the IMDb he was 16 years old. Wasn't he wonderful?

Oh G-d! Thank you for that. It always vexed me a little why I recognized the actor but couldn't figure out from where.

According to IMDB, "Life with Father" was filmed in the spring and summer of 1946, when Milner was fourteen. Elizabeth Taylor was also fourteen, two months younger than Milner. It's interesting how girls develop sooner than boys. Jimmy Lydon was twenty-three when they made the movie.

I was a big fan of Adam-12, and whenever I see Milner I can't help but think of Pete Malloy. He was a good actor, and I always get a kick out of seeing him in other roles.

Nobody gets to be a cowboy forever.

This was his first movie, and it is clear that he was a natural actor, and he just got better with age.

He was also in Route 66 before Adam-12.
