Reminded me of Archie + Edith
Haven't seen this movie for years. Recently interested in Irene Dunne movies. I couldn't help but think of Archie and Edith Bunker from All in the Family when I watched this movie. The controlling father, complaining about the government, always yelling. Then the mother, scatter brained at times, no mind for money matters (the pug dog and suit situation) always trying to keep the peace when her husband would blow up. Wonder if Norman Lear got any ideas from this film.
