"The Film Chest" version of this DVD
Found this at the local library. I have quite a fetish for "film noir," and saw this in a case marked "The Best of Film Noir." Naturally, I picked it up hoping for a title I had not yet seen.
There are a lot of reviews of this movie here already, so I'll limit my review to the state this transfer from film to digital format. The transfer it excellent! Not quite the quality of "The Criterion Collection" offerings, but quite good. It's obvious they found a very clean print of the film to make a transfer from.
My only complaint/comment is that the subtitles, marked as English, are actually Spanish. Oh well.
