Kino or Criterion needs to remaster this.

The Scarlet Street remastered is just wonderful. They need to remaster The Red House.

Yes! I agree , would love to see a pristine print of this film , in my opinion this is one of Eddie G's finest (1940's) performance's . Really surprised no one has picked this film up.

The Red House was recently released on Blu-ray. The reviews indicate the print is only slightly better than previous DVD releases.

Yes HD Cinema classics released this film on Blu-Ray. I own a copy of it. The picture & sound are fantastic for a 66 year old film. Especially since there are so many atrocious copies of this movie, I urge you all to purchase the Blu-Ray.

I'm watching the movie on Blu-Ray right now. I've never seen it before so I don't know about all the bad copies folks talk about, but I think the picture and sound quality are both incredible.
