Neurotic illness ...

.. acts always to the favor of the "ill" one. It would never make her stay in bed when she is in real danger.

But this film is an entertaining play and not educational. It has its own laws of nature.

Well while that's true, it's also possible to be too scared to move even if your life depends on you doing just that.

My own experience is different. When I was attacked by muggers I ran for my life. I was faster than all 3 of them. I was never a good runner but in that moment I could have made the world record.
A wellknown German proverb: Angst verleiht Flügel (fear/angst gives wings)

I general good movies should avoid insane or retarded characters because the strangest things can be explained that way.

I would actually be careful with what I said. Neurotic people can do dangerous things, even to themselves.

Don't know if this will be seen all these yrs later. I have never had to run from anyone in such a situation in real life but I can imagine that I would run superfast if i was in danger but I wondered if anyone else has experienced this. When I have dreamed of someone being after me I suddenly can't move to get away from them or I move super slow as if in slow motion and I panic because I can't get away from them. Is this common to people in dreams. Although sometimes when I am trying to get away I tend to be able to fly or float or something lol.

Hi, cluvonj. Yes, it is EXTREMELY common. I have talked to maybe 30 people in my life that have had these sorts of dreams, and have heard about it on TV or the 'net. I have them all the friggin' time! FRUSTRATING AS HELL!

Anyway, I did a Google search and put in:

"dream interpretation can't run" and up came the following page:
