A few other little questions

1 - Why was the phone left off the hook in Henry's office?

2 - Did Leona rip up the card that came with the camellias because she realized Henry's secretary, not Henry, had picked them out?

3 - Did Sally's husband strike anyone else as a jerk? "Sally, who are you talking to! Sally, Joe wants a cold beer, now run out and get one! Sally! Why isn't the kid in bed?" Yeesh.


By the way, here's a fun little fact: Dorothy Neumann, the actress who played Henry's secretary, also played a supporting role in "The Snake Pit" that year, whose lead actress (Olivia de Havilland) was also nominated for Best Actress. (Both Stanwyck and de Havilland lost out to Jane Wyman, as we know.)
