Sorry, Wrong Number (AKA Prominte, omyl - 1963)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0176055/

A Czech TV adaptation of the Lucille Fletcher play starring a great Czech actress,
Jirina Sejbalova. It runs for 30 minutes and it's basically word-to-word the original play. IMO it works even better than the film with Barbara Stanwyck (which I love). Sejbalova delivers a masterful performance, starting with a very subtle and quiet woman (unlike Moorehead and Stanwyck in their versions) and gradually growing more and more hysterical. There is no music except for the opening credits, which makes it even more scary.
If anyone is interested in seeing it, I'll try to find a way how to rip it from the VHS, subtitle it and post it on youtube.

Hi, Waldo.

did you ever post it on youtube?

reply

Hi,
nobody seemed to be interested in it, so I didn't...

reply

Oh, well.

I would have liked to have seen it, but I don't want you to go to any trouble.

reply

I'd gladly do it for you, but it will take some time - I gave the VHS to a friend to transfer the film to DVD but now the friend is in Japan and won't be back until the end of the month.

thanks for that, Waldo.

Again, if it's hard to do, please don't.

But I would like to take a peek at it if it's easy for you to post it.
