Does anyone know the name of the song that plays at the end of this film????? i am driving myself crazy trying to figure it out

Someone replied to the same question in another thread stating it is 'Goodnight Sweetheart'. I happened to be watching the movie and was towards the end when I decided to look it up here and noticed your question. I put on captions in the hopes it would saw what the song was as most captions these days do, but no such luck. It only stated 'Orchestral Music playing' when he started the record playing. The only 'Goodnight Sweetheart' song I'm familiar with is the 'pop' one from the 50's-60's and the melody wasn't right for that, but when I googled it it came up with a couple versions so odds are the person in the other thread knows exactly what they're talking about! :)

I recognized it as "Goodnight Sweetheart" as well. Rudy Vallee, of all people, sings that song in the movie "Palm Beach Story" with Claudette Colbert -- a fantastic movie and a very charming scene.

Yes it is "Goodnight Sweetheart", Lyrics by the great Al Bowlly.

Thank you for answering my question before I asked! I hope I can find this song in instrumental form----and not the do-wop song from the 50s! Anyone know how to do this?

No doubt there are many instrumental recordings of Goodnight Sweetheart. You should be able to find it on iTunes and Amazon.com.
