I'm actually wondering how many The Mertz's AND The Ricardo's have missed out on a fortune, although, to the best of my knowledge there isn't a time when The Mertz's lose out and The Ricardo's don't.

I will say these are the episodes that I think could have lead to fame and/or fortune, but didn't.
The mustache could have led to fame if Lucy didn't mess it up.
Lucy gets Ricky on the radio. They could have won more money if Lucy let Ricky answer
The girls go into business. If they had told their husbands, they might have negotiated a better deal
The salad dressing million dollar idea. if they had put together their cost first, they wold have had a more reasonable sell price.
Oil wells. Still makes me sad that they blew it
Bonus bucks. If they had communicated, they wouldn't have incurred so much cost
The diner. If they had taken turns, they could have made decent money
Mr and Mrs show hurts the most for me. if Lucy hadn't messed it up, the four of them would have had a sitcom on tv.

The oil one was tough for me because I would have done, okay not EXACTLY the same thing ?, But every step of the way I was happy until they were sitting around the table discussing their good fortune.
I was like NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! When anyone on tv sits down to enjoy their good fortune, they're basically going to die. Or in this case, lose the fortune.

Lucy could've made a lot of money if she had signed the contract that the studio offered her when they were in Hollywood. Remember when she danced with the "Ricky dummy"?
If she really wanted that show biz career, she could have insisted Little Ricky stay in Hollywood with her. She was his mother after all! I doubt it would have taken too much persuading to get the Mertzes to stay. She told Fred she'd pay their expenses.
Ricky could've gotten his band a gig in California.

I love little Ricky. Idk how many takes they had to do, but for the most part he was so calm as a baby/toddler. Total star material!
