I always crack up whenever the title character's name is mentioned here. I wonder what the baritone saxophonist/jazz composer Gerry Mulligan thought when this film was released?
"May I bone your kipper, Mademoiselle?"

Just for the heck of it I looked through the cast list to see if there was, say, a "Paul Desmond" or something. It's quite a large list, but almost none of the characters have actual names!
