Darius Milhaud's A Frenchman in New York
Those who love Gershwin' orchestral piece/score—including the parts for 4 taxi horns!—as I do might find interesting to listen to Darius Milhaud's A Frenchman in New York for orchestra Op. 399 (1962). Just as a contrast or 'complement'... (Milhaud was French, but in 1940, when he was almost 50 years old, he settled in USA and taught in California and Colorado). Alas, not an easy piece to find! Another rather infrequent piece: 'Kentuckiana, Divertissement on Twenty Kentucky Airs' Op.287b (1948),
