Editing
Does anyone know what exactly was cut from the film during the screening and editing process? Once when it was show on TCM the host said some people were so scared during the initial screening that they left the theater, that it was rather gory for the times. I believe he said it had to be re-edited several time to take out offensive bits. Robert Cornthwaite was here in town for a screening and talk several years ago, but they did not get to my question about it. Anyone with better info who can set me straight? I would really appreciate it!
