Scene edited or television glitch?
There is a particular moment in the film that seems to "black out", and I am trying to find out if it's intended to do so or not. The scene where Marlene first kisses Arthur Kennedy, then slaps him, and then he says something like, "That's unfair, I only got one kiss for two slaps" and then she laughs. Right after she laughs, the scene ends abruptly and the screen "blacks out" for a moment, and then cuts right to a scene in the outdoors. Is this abrupt cutting supposed to happen, or is it merely a cable glitch? As I was watching the film, it just seemed to me that the scene was cut rather abruptly (right after Marlene laughs at Arthur Kennedy). Anyone have any thoughts?
