Question

I just watched A&CMDJ&MH last night & my question is about the scene in the London wax museum.I can see that there was a need for having a live actor made up as the Frankenstein Monster due to his moving after electrical wires touch him.However,there are several other wax figures,Count Dracula,George Washington,Buffalo Bill Cody,which are also actors in make-up that are supposed to be actual wax figures.Why?They did not get struck by the live swinging wires,so since there was no movement required why did they not have actual wax figures?Would that have cost more than actors in make-up & costumes?Was a scene edited out where they did all move?

reply

Good one esp.since the figures were life-like;

anyone know 4 sure ?

reply

No one knows

reply

Custom wax figures cost more than actors in costumes. They didn’t have millions of dollars to spend. It was always about the budget back then.
