That one melting statue...


In the original museum, there is one statue of a girl wearing a red plaid skirt and kerchief, holding a sheet of music, I think it's the third statue that Matthew sets on fire. About a minute later, we get a zoom-in shot of her face literally melting off. Am I the only one who finds that shot to be extremely disturbing? Even the statue's expression seems to have changed to complete misery.

To me, the highlight of House of Wax is the museum burning sequence. They all look so haunted, as they melt, and I can only imagine the heat in the studio. There was a LOT of fire!
