Manos Can't Touch the Hem of Robot Monster's Garment

OK, it's official. I finally saw Manos last night. It was bad, very bad.

But the prize for juicy delicious awfulness still goes to - ROBOT MONSTER!!

So let it be written. So let it be done :-)

Sharp turn of phrase, Hodie ! Of course I agree: Robot Monster is the undisputed champion best-of-the-worst - the most lovable ridiculous-monster-movie ever created. Neither Manos, Plan 9, nor anything else (not even The Horror of Party Beach) compares to this, Phil Tucker's masterpiece.

One question, though: was it the MST3K episode you finally saw ? Manos itself isn't much fun (to say the least), but Joel & the Bots were outstanding - many people think Manos was MST3K's greatest episode. (Unfortunately, MST3K's Robot Monster episode was pretty bad - MST3K insiders more or less admit it. Such a shame.)

Phoenix, it's been a long time, but I just saw your post. I saw the MST3K version of Manos.

But I saw Robot Monster as a stand-alone late-night movie, before I had ever seen MST3K. In fact, I was dismayed to hear that they'd given the MST "treatment" to a perfect gem like RM. I never did see the movie on MST3k.

But I shall stay the way I am,
Because I do not give a damn.
