Hey!

Just wanted to say hello to anyone that might be watching this movie on TCM. I haven't seen this version before so don't tell me how it ends!

There are others watching too :)

I assume, since you are watching TCM, that you like old movies. If that is a correct assumption, and if you saw and liked "A Night to Remember" (another version) and liked it, then you will enjoy this version too.

Happy Viewing...

Thanks for the reply. I do like older movies but sometimes TCM is hit or miss. I sure like the cast of this one so I'm really enjoying it so far. BTW,Robert Wagner is YOOOUUUNNNGGG in this. I hardly recognized him.

I'm watching it for the first time too.
But have seen many other versions. It's really very interesting!
A sort of soap-opera set during a true tragedy.

I'm watching this movie on TCM right now as well ( but not for the first time seen it a few months ago on this channel ) . Just watched the scene a few moments ago where actor Robert Wagner as character Gifford Rogers showing Audrey Dalton as Annette Sturges the newest dance called " The Navaho Rag " . Surprisingly I never heard of that dance myself lol . Great movie and as always actress Barbara Stanwyck is just wonderful in this too . As well as all the other memorable cast members . Thanks Eddysfitzboy for your subject post .

As a mother, I can just picture myself freaking out like his mother ... *sigh*

Thanks so much to everyone for their kind and provocative posts. It certainly does have that "Soap" feel to it that was mentioned. I guess all the versions need some of that to help the storyline along.

I must have missed the Navaho Rag reference. I've never heard of it either.

The special effects are actually pretty good as well. Hollywood's come along way since this came out, but I'll take these effects any day.

I know it's months later, but I'm watching it on TCM right now, and it's really good!

So hi there! :)

I'm with you, Slappaccino.

Hey slappaccino, Sorry it took me so long to respond. I wish I would have known it was on again. My schedule makes it kinda hard to plan for a show but I would definitely make an exception for this one. I think I like this version just as much as the one we're all familiar with.
