pretty funny in a way

i know that nobody knew this but first of all, it cracked.

it also showed the ship going to the iceberg in starburd and underwater it was cutting the port side.

and plus it wasn't a can opener cut. it was a morse code cut. i know they still didnt know that either

overall, it was an ok job. id give it an 8.5

The 1997 version at least had less inaccuracies than this mess. I give the 1953 version 6/10. The 1997 version 7.5/10

The German version was among the more ineteresting incarnations of the famous 'Titanic' story. I am so glad I was able to see it when it ran on TCM.

My favorite version ia the 1958 version because it focuses mostly on the events of the sinking and the futile attempts to secure aid. The Stanwyck/Webb version is a lot of fun, though.

Actually, the 1997 version is pretty accurate in the way it shows the ship. It's not accurate in the way Edwardian people behaved. But it looks like 1912 come to life, as much as A Night to Remember.

ANTR has as many inaccuracies as 1997.

I know that Webb and Stanwyck are very illustrious actors, but the plain inescapable fact is that Negulesco's movie is so inaccurate and pays so little attention to the real events--the sinking is over and done in the mere 20 last minutes of the flick--that it is simply not acceptable as a valid reliable depiction of the story.

The 1997 version had all the dead people come back to life to greet Rose. Dayum! Talk about Zombies from the deep! Creepy and NOT romantic. One of us! One of us!
