PBS Nova episode - 2012-Jan-11 'Bombing Hitler's Dams'

The January 11, 2012 episode of PBS Nova, "Bombing Hitler's Dams" explores and recreates the raid - see http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/military/bombing-hitler-dams.html for more information. In the documentary, at the last minute, Buffalo Airways pilot Arnie Schreder decides to fly a little past the designated release point. PBS Video captures the concrete-filled drum impacting the makeshift dam, and still spinning, roll a little away from the dam and sink, however had the drum really been filled with high explosive, it might well have exploded on the surface and not effectively destroyed the dam. Still, a fine conclusion to a good documentary. They also mangled the theme song from the movie pretty badly(!), but the doc is still a "must see" for fans of "The Dam Busters" movie or anyone interested in the raid.
