Mel Gibson's 'The Dambusters'

Apparantly Mel Gibson is going to write/direct a re-make of 'The Dambusters'. Here's a plot synopsis:

"During the Second World War Two, young American Michael Kaposkowitz (played by Brad Pitt) is asked to undertake a difficult mission in the war to help free Ireland from the evil English. He must fly his American Harrier bomber over London, England and drop a new experimental ‘bouncing bomb’ (a bomb which is made of rubber so it bounces along the ground) and destroy Big Ben, a symbol of English oppression of the Irish. This will strike a big blow to England and their leader, the evil Fuhrer Churchill. His co-pilots in the mission are played by Justin Timberlake and the fast-talking Chris Rock, whose character must overcome racial prejudices to prove he’s up to the job.
During training for the mission (which takes place in the Irish village of Edinburgh), Kaposkowitz discovers that the inventor of the bomb is none other than his estranged father brilliant American scientist Albert Einstein (pronounced ‘Ein-steen’) (played by Mel Gibson), and the must put their differences aside for the good of the war effort. Also during training Kaposkowitz and his crew relax in the local tavern, where he meets Irish beauty Mary O’Connor (played by Eva Longoria), whose family were killed in an English air raid by Spitfire heavy bombers. The pair rapidly falls in love.
On the eve of the air raid, Kaposkowitz has huge doubts about whether he can complete the mission, however when O’Connor tells him she’s pregnant he realises he want his child to grow up in an Ireland free of English and Jewish oppression.
The raid is launched with the code word ‘Einstein’ (which was suggested by Kaposkowitz after he realised he loved his dad), and is a huge success, destroying Big Ben, half of London and killing the evil Churchill.
Kaposkowitz flies home, and kisses O’Connor as the credits roll over an American flag. The film is dedicated to all the Americans and Irish who gave their lives during the war."

As it sounds like a big budget film, can we expect at least 100 disciples?
