Cinema release of the film last evening

Last evening I went to see the film at our local Cinema and how wonderful it was on the big screen. It adds a whole new dimension. The shots from the Lancaster as it veered in and over the lakes and climbed away made it seem you was almost aboard - something that does not come over at all on TV. The new print was very good. Richard Todd superb as Guy Gibson as was Michael Redgrave as Barnes Wallis and Derek Farr and all the others. I do find it very sad that there are 124 posts on this site about the dog's name which incidentally had not been removed or changed. Surely this trivialises the whole film and tries to implicate it in a political arena.
Lets just enjoy it as I was lucky enough to do yesterday and previously with one of the other excellent films on release 'The Wicker Man'
We have been given another chance to see the film and the other films as they should be viewed - up there on the big screen where everything is larger than life. Great experience.
