Little old snowflake, eskimo pie
What is the origin of this song lyric Phil sings when they get off the train and get in the car for the hotel? The tune is then picked up by the score.

It almost seems like an ad-lib done Hope/Crosby style. I wonder if it wasn't an old-time ad for Eskimo Pies, as Kaye picked up on the reference. I'm on it, doing the Google research right now.
There doesn't seem to be an actual story on the origin. No mention of Eskimo Pie using anything like it as a jingle. It's likely just a run that Bing and Danny came up with on set. They were both notorious for ad-libbing, and this would be nothing new for either of them.
So what you've got is Bing saying "little old snowflake, Eskimo Pie," and then Danny following up with "chocolate and vanilla for you and I," since Eskimo Pie is made of vanilla ice cream covered in chocolate.
Sorry, it's the best I've got.
