Sing-along performances

Has anyone seen a sing-along performance of this in a theater? A few years ago I saw it this way for the first time and really enjoyed it, because of the chance to sing along and the fun atmosphere.

After watching it a few times this way, I've really come to hate it. The sing-along atmosphere creates a rowdy atmosphere that dominates the last part of the movie. There are quietly beautiful moments that are completely ruined, like when Susan looks up at the General walking down the stairs, or when the General looks out the front window at the falling snow.

At another theater, they promote a sing-along at the very end, when the camera moves from the stage across the audience. I like that, but in the rest of the movie, I'd rather just hear Bing, Rosemary, and the others.
