What does Danny Kaye actually say??

In the scene where Danny and Vera-Ellen decide to pretend to be engaged, Danny says something completely different than what his lips say. The audio says "I feel the same way about my cocker spaniel" but what does he really say??

Omg, I happen to be watching it right now and I never noticed that! I rewinded it like 5 times but I have no idea what he really said. It actually does seem like he said the line that was dubbed over but maybe they couldn't hear him when he said it so they had to dub it over but the lines didn't quite match up with his lips.

The cocker spaniel is referred to again later in the film, so I am assuming that is what he said this time, too.

I can't remember how this was filmed, but I recall from "The King and I" that the cameras used to film it in colour were so noisy almost every piece of dialogue had to be redubbed.

It could be that something like this happened, and the line was redubbed but didn't match his lips at all.
