When Bing and Danny enter Novello's, a very attractive young woman appears on the right side of the screen. She's dressed in blue, seated, and appears in profile. The camera stops for a moment with her on the right. When the camera pans across, she sips her drink.
She was obviously being posed. I've always wondered why. Some producer's girlfriend? Some no-talent starlet who looked good?
I agree with you. Probably I wouldn't know who she was even if I heard her name, but every year when I watch this movie, one of the many things I look forward to is that view of her and her gorgeous legs when the guys enter Novello's.

That lovely woman you mention is central to my findings. As it happens, she, and her dance partner, are constantly hogging the camera throughout the entire scene! She dances with a man with dark hair in a light tan/putty colored dinner jacket and they are constantly maneuvering to be in every shot!! Seated near the stage door entrance to the dance floor, she is one of the last people we see after Bob and Phil reprise Sisters.
