Incorrect goof.... Somebody wasn't paying attention!

The following goof is reported on the "goofs" page:

Mitch Wayne (Rock Hudson) takes a phone call in front of Kyle Hadley (Robert Stack) but says nothing about its contents. Kyle immediately jumps up and reacts to the contents of a call he did not hear, even repeating part of the call, saying, "He said 'the Hadley girl', didn't he? Well, I'm the Hadley boy."

This is incorrect. Actuallly, when he gets that call, you can clearly see Mitch (Rock Hudson) pick up the receiver and hit a button on the phone which puts the phone on "speaker" mode. You then hear the female receptionist's voice coming in over the speaker. We must assume that the barman's conversation, phoned from the bar, was also broadcast over the same speaker. Therefore Kyle, standing a few feet away in the same room, did in fact hear the same conversation that Mitch heard.

Eric, did you try to have this goof deleted? I haven't looked.

reply

Hobnob, I never even knew until now, upon reading your comment, that a "delete" option was available for goofs. So I have just now submitted a "delete" for that goof, along with my reason why it should be deleted. Thanks!

reply

Oh yes, correct, delete, add -- I've submitted a lot of stuff over the years, and they're almost always accepted. No on-site credit, but you have the satisfaction of knowing, "I submitted that!" I always print out and keep the email confirmations they send, in case I ever need...well, let's just say, an "insurance policy".
